I’ll be exhibiting again this year at the 11th Annual Indian Wells Arts Festival. This wonderful festival takes place April 5-7, 2013 at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Garden, a $75 million state-of-the-art facility surrounded by desert mountain vistas. More than 200 award winning artists transform the magnificent path-lined plaza with a spectacular splash of color, featuring hundreds of pieces of one-of-a-kind artwork available for purchase. Offerings include painting, drawing, ceramics, glass, photography, sculpture, jewelry, apparel and hand-crafted wares. With a celebrated reputation for its high quality and wide variety of fine art and quality craft, the Festival has been ranked one of the “100 Best Fine Art Shows in the country” by Sunshine Artist magazine; “Best of the Best” by Palm Springs Life magazine; and ranked in the top 100 in both fine art fairs and fine craft shows by Greg Lawler’s Art Source Book.

Best wishes for this show, Michael. Sounds like fun. Isn’t this one of the shows where sales are good considering the climate these days?
HI David: Thanks for your wishes. Good climate and weather is conducive to good patron turnout, but they provide no guarantees for good sales. Still, beautiful show in a beautiful location, and I get to stare at desert peaks when I’m not talking with patrons.

Is this your first year there? I was thinking about the economic climate. Haven’t you had good results there before despite? Or was that some other one?
Hi David: This is my second or third year at IWAF; I’d have to check my records to confirm. I did have good sales in 2012 as well as taking Best in Show in the Photography category. Thanks.
