What is it?

What is it?

I’ll be amazed if anyone can tell me what is seen here. This digital photograph was made right about one year ago here in California. Bonus points if you can actually say where the photograph was made 🙂

I’ll reveal the answer in a few days.

  1. Mike – not sure what it is in the “real world” but I’ve got it’s real identity pegged: It’s another awesome abstract photo from Michael Gordon – photographer and artist extraordinaire.

  2. Hey Michael,

    Your hair?

Nah, kidding. I know what it is, well, part of it, anyway … the color of those stems can only be one thing, this time of year, and it starts with the letter “w”. Not sure what the b/g is, but I assume, especially given the plant, it’s water somewhere.

I’ve no idea how you made the effect though – very cool photo.

  3. THANKS for all the comments, folks!

Carl and Ron got it partially right. It is willow (sans leaves) along the Merced River in Yosemite Valley. The photograph was blurred in-camera and then rotated to achieve this effect.

    THANKS for the comments!
